Welcome to The Laurels Holiday Cottages.

We provide three beautiful, newly refurbished one-bedroom cottages nestled on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We have a 5-acre paddock opposite, where you can walk your doggies.

Relax in one of three calm, dog-friendly, stylish spaces. Newly refurbished one-bedroom cottages in the picturesque village of East Keal, close to Horncastle, Skegness & all the gorgeous market towns. local pubs, amazing walks & cycle paths and antique shops.

Market Towns & Local Culture

East Keal is conveniently placed for traditional Lincolnshire market towns:

  • Spilsby — just a few minutes’ drive north, with local shops, pubs and a weekly market, perfect for picking up local produce or enjoying a coffee.
  • Woodhall Spa – Cafes, delis, lovely boutiques and some fantastic restaurants
  • Horncastle & Louth — within comfortable day-trip distance, these attractive towns offer antique shopping, cafes and places to explore. 15 mins drive for dinner

Dog-Friendly

At The Laurels Cottages, we welcome up to two dogs per Cottage.

Lovely Walks & Routes

  • East Keal circular walks: There are at least three well-signposted circular footpaths of 2–3 miles that explore hedged farmland and open fields with lovely views — ideal for walking dogs.  
  • Longer countryside routes: Extend your outing with walks in neighbouring villages, including routes around West Keal and Old Bolingbroke with undulating terrain and panoramic views.  
  • Nearby Gunby Hall estates: A few miles away, there are dog-friendly walking trails through parkland and estate grounds — great for more relaxed strolling with your pet.

Coastal Beaches & Dog-Friendly Shorelines

Although East Keal is inland, you’re within an easy 20-minute drive of the Lincolnshire coast:

 

  • Skegness & surrounding beaches: The wide, sandy beaches around Skegness and neighbouring coastal villages have extensive dog-friendly areas, especially outside the busiest central zone during peak season (dog-friendly year-round in many places).
  • Moggs Eye (Huttoft) & Saltfleetby beaches: Further north and south along the coast, there are beautiful dune-fringed beaches and nature reserves where dogs can roam and explore the sand and shoreline.
